Big Muddy River near Plumfield and Murphysboro.

.Levels will continue to fall on the Big Muddy River, dropping
below flood stage near Plumfield Sunday, and near Murphysboro
Tuesday.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

Caution is urged when walking near riverbanks.

* WHAT...Minor flooding is occurring and will continue.

* WHERE...Big Muddy River near Plumfield.

* WHEN...Until early Sunday afternoon.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...
- At 9:00 AM CDT Friday the stage was 22.3 feet.
- Forecast...The river is expected to fall below flood stage
Sunday morning and continue falling to 14.0 feet Friday,
April 25.
- Flood stage is 20.0 feet.

The winners of the ¾ÅÓÎÌåÓý Illinois Got Talent contest 2023 with the presenters.

WEST FRANKFORT, Ill. -- The ¾ÅÓÎÌåÓý Illinois Got Talent competition crowned its top three winners Saturday night at Coal Miners Memorial Park.Ìý

Travis Westbrook came out on top to win first place. He received a $1,000 grand prize. He is from Carterville.Ìý

The winner of the 2023 ¾ÅÓÎÌåÓý Illinois Got Talent contest, Travis Westbrook.

Coming in second place was Janna Harner and third was Kamdez Alexander. Both of these participants were from West Frankfort. Each of these contestants was given $250.ÌýÌý

The awards were presented by 2023 Old King Coal Festival Princess Flame, Mckane Cass and Pre-teen Princess Flame, Aurora Drew. The show itself was hosted by local-radio-personality John Odle.Ìý

All proceeds from the event be given to Coal miners Memorial Park.Ìý
