MINER, Mo. -- Three people were seriously injured after a two-vehicle crash along I-55 in Scott County on Saturday.
The Missouri State Highway Patrol (MSHP) said the crash happened at 9:28 p.m. on May 18.
A 74-year-old from Sikeston, was reportedly the driver of a 2016 Buick when it was traveling north in the southbound lanes on I-55 at the 69 mile marker, according to a MSHP crash report.Â
MSHP then reported the Buick hit a 2019 Nissan Altima. The Altima had a 22-year-old driver and an 18-year-old passenger inside at the time of the crash.
All three involved in the crash were taken to hospitals with serious injuries.
Both the Nissan Altima and the Buick were totaled and towed from the scene.
