Graves County airlift crash

GRAVES COUNTY, Ky. -- Two passengers were airlifted from a car crash early on Thursday morning.

The Graves County Sheriff's Office responded to the crash at West Slaughter and Old Dukedom Roads around 12:30 a.m. on July 4th. Investigators searched the scene and say Chloe Rodgers, 19, of Mayfield, drove the vehicle west on West Slaughter Road. Officials believe Rodgers drove through the stop sign at Old Dukedom Road and into a creek-bed and tree-line.

Two of three passengers in the car, Niles Philips, 18, and Lindsey Bencini, 18, were evacuated from the car via AirMethods. Each of them sustained injuries in the crash.

Rodgers and the other passenger, Travis Runyon, 19, suffered minor injuries. The pair refused medical help.

Graves County Fire and EMS also helped at the scene.
