...FLOOD WATCH REMAINS IN EFFECT THROUGH THIS EVENING...

* WHAT...Flash flooding caused by excessive rainfall continues to be
possible.

* WHERE...Areas of southern Illinois along and south of Highway 13
and all of western Kentucky.

* WHEN...Through this evening.

* IMPACTS...Excessive runoff may result in flooding of rivers,
creeks, streams, and other low-lying and flood-prone locations.
Creeks and streams may rise out of their banks. Flooding may occur
in poor drainage and urban areas.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...
- Scattered to numerous thunderstorms will develop across
southern Illinois and western Kentucky. Areas that see
thunderstorms could receive 1.5 to 3.0 inches of rain in just
one or two hours, with locally higher amounts up to 4 inches
possible.


PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

You should monitor later forecasts and be prepared to take action
should Flash Flood Warnings be issued.

Wendy's sets return to Carbondale

An E. coli outbreak associated with Wendy's restaurants has now sickened 97 people in 6 states

CARBONDALE, Ill. -- Wendy's is officially returning to Carbondale. 

After weeks of rumors and discussions among the community, a sign has appeared on the building that formerly housed Wendy's announcing its return to the city. 

The sign says the restaurant is set to reopen this fall under new management. 

Construction crews have been seen on site working on the building.
