Tracking isolated showers and above average temperatures, warm and active pattern expected this weekend

WSIL(Carterville, Ill.) -- This morning, we are tracking a few light to moderate scattered showers, with temperatures that are largely in the upper 40s and lower 50s.

For your Thursday, scattered showers will turn more isolated as we go through the day, and skies will remain overcast for the most part. A few breaks in the cloud cover are possible late this afternoon. Temperatures through the midday hours should reach the lower 50s, and highs areawide will be in the lower to mid 50s. Winds will be mostly calm. 

Isolated shower chances will continue through the evening, with temperatures that will be in the lower 50s and upper 40s. Rain will become more widespread in the overnight hours ahead of a warm front. The best window for widespread rainfall will be between midnight and 8AM Thursday. A few imbedded thunderstorms are possible, but nothing severe is expected.  

Widespread rain should become more isolated through the morning and afternoon. Temperatures tomorrow morning should be in the upper 40s, and highs are expected to reach the mid to upper 50s. After a warm front pushes trough , winds will be in the increase, sustained at 10 to 15 miles per hour, gusting up to 25 miles per hour.

Overnight Friday into Saturday, we will see isolated shower chances, and isolated shower chances will linger through most of the day Saturday. More scattered to widespread showers and thunderstorms are expected Saturday evening. 

Temperatures for Saturday will warm into the lower 60s for high temperatures, the mid to upper 50s are expected for highs on Sunday.
