WSIL (Carterville) -- It's another active day across the region with some severe weather and storms pushing through. Give yourself a bit of extra time as you're out the door because unfortunately, we'll see the most likely chance for scattered storms as many are on their morning commute.Â

If any severe weather does come together, largest threats continue to be large hail and strong winds. Even the non-severe cells will be bringing heavy downpours and lightning.Â
We'll see a complete 180 by this afternoon with unseasonably warm temperatures and mostly sunny skies. Dry weather moves in later today and that pattern will continue through the rest of this week and most of next week.Â

Temperatures really climb as we head into Friday and this week. Our average high for this time of the year is around 77 degrees but we'll stay roughly 10 degrees above that.Â
