FRANKLIN COUNTY (WSIL) -- Two adults and a child were injured in a crash on Interstate 57 Monday morning.

Illinois State Police say a tanker truck was traveling north on I-57 and attempted a lane change. As the truck moved into the right lane, it struck a minivan.

The minivan spun out of control, struck a concrete railing, went over the wide of the bridge railing and landed on it's top in a creek.

The driver of the van, Nikolas Walker, 26 of Buncombe, and his passengers, 21-year-old Alyssa Walker and a 1-month-old infant, were all taken to a local hospital with injuries.

The tanker driver, Thomas Allen, 70 of Jackson, MO, was cited for improper lane usage and was uninjured.
