(WSIL) -- A head-on collision on Interstate 69 in Graves County left two people injured.
On Thursday, sheriff's deputies were dispatched to a crash at the 29 mile marker.
Graves County deputies determined a car, driven by Stephani Gray of Paducah, was northbound when her vehicle hydroplaned during heavy rain. The vehicle went through the median and struck a semi head-on.
The driver of the semi then crossed the median into northbound traffic and came to rest, blocking all lanes.
Gray and a passenger in her vehicle Alice Parker, also of Paducah, were both transported to area hospitals for treatment of their injuries. The driver of the semi refused medical treatment.
As traffic abruptly stopped due to the first crash, another semi hauling chicken by-products spilled all over the road.
The Kentucky State Department of Highways, Mayfield-Graves County Rescue, Burls Wrecker Service, and Cecil's Towing all responded to both scenes to assist in vehicle removal, as well as roadway cleanup of wreck debris, mud, and the hazardous slippery substance at the secondary location.
