MURPHYSBORO, Ill., (WSIL) -- The City of Murphysboro continues their track to a bike path. On Wednesday, March 26, the group held a meeting to review plans and make suggestions. The city is working with Greater Egypt Regional Planning and Development Council, as well as Klingner & Associates, to make the bike plan as usable and community friendly as possible.
Mayor Will Stephens says there was a good turnout for the meeting, with engineering drafts available for public viewing. Engineers were also on hand to answer any questions.
As part of public discussion, the city and engineering firm have also come up with a survey, asking your opinion on everything from how the improvements are funded, to your comfort level on a bicycle, to plans for construction. You can weigh in on the survey by clicking .
