CARTERVILLE (WSIL) -- It was another warm, breezy and cloudy October afternoon. Temperatures have climbed into the upper 70s and low 80s. A few isolated showers are also making their way through parts of southeast Missouri.
The remainder of the evening will be mild, similar to the past of couple of nights. Mostly cloudy skies are expected with low temperatures only dipping into the 60s.Â
Friday will be our last warm day. High temperatures will climb back up near 80 degrees. Enjoy the warmth while its around. It will continue to be breezy with winds out of the south, gusting near 25 mph. Scattered light showers are also likely but it will not be a washout.Â
A front will stall across the region this weekend, bringing widespread rain both Saturday and Sunday. If you have weekend Halloween plans you'll want an umbrella, it looks soggy.Â
The front will finally push south of the area Monday and behind it much cooler air will arrive. Halloween looks dry but chilly. High temperatures by next week will dip into the 40s, with lows in the 20s.
Our first hard freeze of the season is likely early next week.Â
