Big Muddy River near Plumfield and Murphysboro.

.Levels on the Big Muddy River will continue to drop, falling below
flood stage at Plumfield Sunday, and at Murphysboro Monday.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

Motorists should not attempt to drive around barricades or drive
cars through flooded areas.

Caution is urged when walking near riverbanks.

* WHAT...Minor flooding is occurring and minor flooding is forecast.

* WHERE...Big Muddy River near Plumfield.

- At 10:00 AM CDT Tuesday the stage was 25.2 feet.
- Recent Activity...The maximum river stage in the 24 hours
ending at 10:00 AM CDT Tuesday was 25.9 feet.
- Forecast...The river is expected to fall below flood stage
late Sunday evening and continue falling to 18.4 feet
Tuesday, April 22.
- Flood stage is 20.0 feet.
- Flood History...This crest compares to a previous crest of
25.2 feet on 03/30/1977.

Williamson County Sheriff's Office recovers stolen vehicle

HERRIN, Ill. (WSIL) -- The Williamson County Sheriff’s Office recovered a stolen vehicle.

Officials say this truck had been previously reported in the city of Herrin. Deputies found it unoccupied on Circle Drive near Park Lane in Herrin.

They're still looking for information on what happened.
