CARTERVILLE (WSIL) -- It was another warm day across the region, with more above average temperatures. Our next storm system is set to arrive Friday bringing us a brief cool down, reminding us that it's indeed still winter.
Friday's cold front will bring back the chance for rain and even some snow. Rain is expected as we begin the day with the potential for snow mixing in by the afternoon. ¾ÅÓÎÌåÓý Illinois is more likely to see the snow than areas to our south. At this point impacts look minimal, if any.Â
There looks to be a wide range in temperatures as this system moves through. North of the Ohio River temperatures will be in the 30s and 40s, while south of the river will be in the 40s and 50s.
Much cooler air settles in by Saturday dropping highs into the mid to upper 30s but the cool down is brief. Warmer weather arrives by Sunday.
