(CNN) 鈥� Zendaya has offered up some rare remarks about boyfriend Tom Holland.
In the 鈥淐hallengers鈥� star praised her 鈥淪pider-Man: Homecoming鈥� co-star for how he handled things after the film was released in 2017.
鈥淲e were both very, very young, but my career was already kind of going, and his changed overnight. One day you鈥檙e a kid and you鈥檙e at the pub with your friends, and then the next day you鈥檙e Spider-Man,鈥� she said. 鈥淚 definitely watched his life kind of change in front of him. But he handled it really beautifully.鈥�
Next up for Holland is a role in London鈥檚 West End production of 鈥淩omeo & Juliet,鈥� scheduled for May. Zendaya said she 鈥渃ould not be more proud.鈥�
鈥淚鈥檓 going to try to see as many shows as I possibly can,鈥� she added.
While the pair have been linked for years, they are pretty private about their relationship.
That appears to have only heightened interest in them, based on a story Zendaya shared about a time the two were in Paris and wanted to visit the famed Louvre.
According to the 鈥淓uphoria鈥� star, they were warned against it and told 鈥淚t鈥檚 already busy. You might make it worse.鈥� They went anyway, she said, and photos of them taking in the exhibits made the rounds on social media.
鈥淚t was actually fine,鈥� Zendaya recalled. 鈥淵ou just kind of get used to the fact that, Oh, I鈥檓 also one of these art pieces you鈥檙e going to take a picture of. I just gotta be totally cool with it and just live my life.鈥�
And fame can have its perks. Zendaya said the museum actually allowed them to stay after closing.
鈥淚t was one of the coolest experiences ever,鈥� she said. 鈥淚t was like 鈥楴ight at the Museum.鈥欌€�
