This is the first day of Illinois' Craft Beer Week and there are plenty of places to celebrate in southern Illinois. 

Long before COVID-19 shut down schools in Illinois, students in rural districts had little to no internet access, and while one community has found a solution to move forward, another is left behind.

AVA (WSIL) � The Jackson County Sheriff’s office has opened an investigation into the death of a man found early Saturday morning. Deputies responded to a 9-1-1 call in rural Ava around 12:42am Saturday. They found the body of 37 year old Edward Dudley of Dupo, Illinois � a town in St. Clair County. An autopsy is in the process of being scheduled, but no other details have been released. A spokesman says more information will be released as the department receives it.
