GOREVILLE, IL (WSIL) - Sports summer camps continue across the region.
On Thursday, the News 3 sports cameras stopped in Goreville to check in on the Lady Blackcats volleyball team. Around 50 or so campers were out learning from the 1A regional champions.聽
The camp is about having all players improve and helping them become the next generation of star volleyball players. The camp is now in its second year since Head Coach and Goreville Grad聽Micaela Allred took over the program.
Some of the Blackcats seniors say helping train younger players will help them and the program in the long run.
"I love seeing how excited the kids get about playing and learning new drills. I think we like to see how much of role models we actually are to these girls and we show them how much we love the game," said Breanna Suits.
