CARBONDALE, IL (WSIL) - 22 years strong!
The Annual Southern Illinois Coaches and Officials Golf Outing continues to enrich the lives of student athletes in our region.
22nd Annual Coaches & Officials golf outing raises money for local student athletes
The tournament has now raised over $400,000 since it started in 2002.
It was a fun day out on the course in Carbondale at Hickory Ridge. Golfers were ready to roll.
Twenty-nine local teams were represented. They were all playing to raise major funds for kids in the area. Last year, nearly $1,000 went to every school that was represented in the tournament.
We'll pass along the total amount that was raised on Friday once we receive official word from event organizers.
