Former SIU/Illinois basketball player Marcus Domask heads to Germany to continue career

CARBONDALE, Ill. (WSIL) --- Former SIU and Illini basketball great Marcus Domask is taking his career on the court overseas.

Domask will join the Fraport Skyliners in Frankfurt, Germany.

Before coming to SIU, Domask was named the 2019 Wisconsin Mr. Basketball by the Wisconsin Basketball Coaches. He then made his way to SIU for his freshman year in 2019-2020, earning various accolades.

Domask continued his collegiate career with SIU and joined SIU Hall of Famer Daren Brooks as the only two Salukis to score 1,600 points with 500 rebounds and 300 assists.

He then made his way to the University of Illinois, averaging 15.9 points per game for the 2023-24 season, with 3.9 assists per game and played a total of 38 games with 1,313 minutes.

The Fraport Skylines take on Gottingen next on Saturday, February 8.
