HARRISBURG, Ill. (WSIL) -- A high school basketball player in Harrisburg scored her 1,000th point on Tuesday evening, one of the fastest ever to achieve this feat in school history.

Jamisen Green is a Harrisburg Lady Bulldog and their team played against Gallatin County on November 19.

During this game, Green recorded her 1,000th career point in her first game of the season and as a Junior.

Prep Girls Hoops states the 5'10" guard is ranked as the 22nd best player in the state for the Class of 2026.

The 1,000th point she recorded was one of the fastest to reach this feat in the history of Harrisburg High School. When Green reached the milestone, she received the ball at the top of the key, then dribbled around one defender, drove through the lane where she met more defenders, then scooped up the ball into the hoop for two points. Her teammates and the crowd cheered for her. Green then received hugs and her teammates met her on the floor and celebrated.

Green helped her team get the victory, scoring 28 points as Harrisburg defeated Gallatin County 66-33.
