...The Flood Warning continues for the following rivers in
Illinois...

Big Muddy River near Murphysboro affecting Jackson County.

Big Muddy River near Plumfield affecting Franklin and Williamson
Counties.

.The Big Muddy River continues to rise due to heavy rain last week
and over the weekend. The river will crest on Thursday before
starting a very slow fall.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

Motorists should not attempt to drive around barricades or drive
cars through flooded areas.

Turn around, don't drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood
deaths occur in vehicles.

Caution is urged when walking near riverbanks.

Be especially cautious at night when it is harder to recognize the
dangers of flooding.

* WHAT...Moderate flooding is occurring and moderate flooding is
forecast.

* WHERE...Big Muddy River near Plumfield.

* WHEN...Until further notice.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...
- At 10:00 AM CDT Tuesday the stage was 28.1 feet.
- Forecast...The river is expected to rise to a crest of 31.0
feet early Thursday morning.
- Flood stage is 20.0 feet.
- Flood History...This crest compares to a previous crest of
30.7 feet on 01/26/1949.

Benton Football is coming off a record breaking performance

BENTON (WSIL) -- Benton football can light up a scoreboard. The Rangers had quite a home opener playing on their new turf. Their high powered offense put 53 points on the board in a 53-0 win over West Frankfort.

Quarterback Keegan Glover a big reason why. The junior set the school record for passing yards. 398 yards on 14 of 19 passing and 6 touchdowns.

Glover has a lot of options to throw to. One receiver Glover can rely on is Ayden Newcomb. He now has the Benton Career touchdown mark with 14.

Over the weekend We were able to catch a pair of his touchdowns on camera.
