John A. Logan College falls to Connors State in first round of NJCAA Men's Basketball Championship

In Game 1 of the NJCAA Basketball Championship Tournament, #16 John A. Logan fell to #17 Connors State on Saturday 80-75.

Davius Loury led JALC with 28 points, 5 assists and 9 rebounds. Caden Hawkins added 18 points with 7 assists and 3 rebounds.

John A. Logan led Connors State at the half 39-38.

John A. Logan shot 29 of 59 for 49.2% on field goals with shooting 12 of 21 for 57.1% from the 3-point line. The Volunteers were 5 of 9 for 55.6% on free throws.

JALC grabbed a total of 33 rebounds, 18 assists, 6 steals and 5 blocks as a team.

Connors State shot 29 of 61 for 45.9% on field goals with shooting 2-7 for 28.6% for threes and were 22-26 for 84.6% on free throws.

They snagged 33 rebounds, 9 assists, 10 steals and 8 blocks as a team.
