CAOE GIRARDEAU, MO (WSIL) -- SEMO men's basketball is back in action Monday night as they host Lipscomb from the Show Me Center in Cape Girardeau.
WSIL's Kendra Sheehan was on hand to give us some insight to the game atmosphere. The Show Me Center, when at capacity, seats about 7,000 fans. The games are available to any fans who are interested in attending, not just season ticket holders, but attendance will be capped off at 1,500 or roughly 25% for each game due to COVID-19 safety measures.
Kendra was reporting from a designated media spot in the stands that's roped off. The fans are back away from the action. The seating arrangement is broken into tiers. Tier one is the players bench, tier two is the media professionals with the team and sports information seating, and tier three is the media. Everyone in tiers one and two get tested, so tier three is back a bit for safety reasons.
SEMO, 1-1 on the young season, taking on 1-3 Lipscomb.
Here's what you need to know about SEMO.
In two games, we've learned the Redhawks have some size in the low blocks. Averaging 40 rebounds a nd 6 blocks a game.
On paper it appears SEMO should have the advantage inside.
The Bisons lost on Saturday to Arkansas and also recently fell to Cincinnati. They've played a tough schedule so far.
