MARION, IL (WSIL) - Football camps will start to pop-up in the near future all across the region.
Marion Wildcat Football camp continues to see record numbers
One of the biggest camps in the area started at Marion High School.
Wildcats football camp had an amazing turnout last year, and this iteration was no different. The team spends the camp preaching family and teaching football.
It was a fun morning for campers in Marion as kids in 3rd through 9th grade learned about the game and how to play.
Wildcats Coach Jason Dunning has done an excellent job of getting the word out there about this camp. He is making the game fun again.
"As long as we have kids enjoying the game and being here for camp, that means my numbers are good," said Coach Dunning. "Hopefully, 90-95 percent of those kids come out for football when they are in high school. The future is good, the program is rolling, and they are excited about it."
There was roughly 150 people out at Wildcats Stadium for the event.
