CARBONDALE, Ill. (WSIL) -- SIU wins over Missouri State in overtime on Saturday in front of 4,300 people.
The Salukis (6-11, 1-5) needed an additional five minutes to take care of the Missouri State Bears (7-10, 0-6) on Saturday in Carbondale.
SIU came out ahead in the first half leading 35-27. The Salukis made 13 shots on 28 attempts for 43% for the half.
In the second half, Missouri State came out and shot 60% from the field on 15 made of 25 attempts. They scored 45 points to SIU's 37 in the second half to tie the game at the end of regulation.
SIU came out the better team in overtime, scoring 16 to Missouri State's 6 for an 88-78 win.
Jarrett Hensley lead all scores with 30 on the night.
