
CAPE GIRARDEAU, (WSIL) -- After a stellar career quarterbacking, the Redhawks Paxton DeLaurent has declared for the NFL draft.
The SEMO star broke the news with an Instagram post on Sunday.
DeLaurent leaves a major legacy at SEMO. Not only was he great on the field, he was also smart in the classroom.
He was named the Big South-Ohio Valley Conference Association Scholar-Athlete of the Year.
The Redhawks field general holds a handful of program records. They include 63 passing touchdowns, 727 completions, and 8,563 passing yards.
He will now set his sights on preparing for the NFL Draft which takes place in Detroit, Michigan, starting on April 24th.
