Big Muddy River near Plumfield and Murphysboro.

.Levels will continue to fall on the Big Muddy River, dropping
below flood stage near Plumfield Sunday, and near Murphysboro
Tuesday.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

Caution is urged when walking near riverbanks.

* WHAT...Minor flooding is occurring and will continue.

* WHERE...Big Muddy River near Plumfield.

* WHEN...Until early Sunday afternoon.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...
- At 9:00 AM CDT Friday the stage was 22.3 feet.
- Forecast...The river is expected to fall below flood stage
Sunday morning and continue falling to 14.0 feet Friday,
April 25.
- Flood stage is 20.0 feet.

SIC Basketball earns #5 seed in the USCAA Small College National Championships

HARRISBURG, IL (WSIL) -  Southeastern Illinois College has secured the #5 seed in the USCAA Small College National Championships.

The tournament will be held from March 10th-15th in Buffalo, New York. SIC will open play at 7 p.m. EST at the Burt Flickenger Arena on Tuesday, March 11th as they take on The Apprentice University Builders.

The Falcons are 24-6 on the season, with some of those wins over regional JUCOs and four year universities.

Charlies King from Vienna is among top scorers in nation with more than 20 points per game.

This is SIC's second straight national tournament appearance. SIC faces the defending champions.
