CARBONDALE, IL (WSIL) - The SIU Dawg Pound will soon see new leadership.

SIU Dawg Pound elects new president

Current President Dylan Chambers will graduate in May, meaning it's time for some new blood. Saturday, the on-campus student organization elected a new president to leave a legacy.

Who's next in line to lead the Dawg Pound? The election went in favor of Corey Crombar. He put together his new team to lead the Dawg Pound to new heights.

Crombar is a Carbondale native and Carbondale High School grad.

The new leader of the pound has some big goals, and he's asking Saluki Nation for help in reaching them.

"You can always expect me standing in the front row and screaming my head off and expecting my board to follow suit," Crombar said. "[I am hoping to increase] student engagement. My goal by the end of 2027 is to pack both sides full of students."
