Big Muddy River near Plumfield and Murphysboro.

.Levels will continue to fall on the Big Muddy River, dropping
below flood stage near Plumfield Sunday, and near Murphysboro
Tuesday.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

Caution is urged when walking near riverbanks.

* WHAT...Minor flooding is occurring and will continue.

* WHERE...Big Muddy River near Plumfield.

* WHEN...Until early Sunday afternoon.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...
- At 10:00 AM CDT Thursday the stage was 23.3 feet.
- Forecast...The river is expected to fall below flood stage
Sunday morning and continue falling to 15.1 feet Thursday,
April 24.
- Flood stage is 20.0 feet.

CARBONDALE, IL (WSIL) - Two major Saluki football alumni will attend Saturday's SIU basketball game against #23 Indiana State.

2 major SIU football grads to attend Saturday's Saluki basketball game

The safeties for the Carolina Panthers and Atlanta Falcons -- Jeremy Chinn and Ryan Neal, respectively -- will sign autographs for fans in the lobby from 5:00-5:30 p.m.

Chinn is one of the Panthers' best players and likely their top defensive player.

Neal joined the Buccaneers last season and spent time with the Falcons and Seahawks before joining Tampa Bay.
