CARTERVILLE Ill. (WSIL) -- The warm temperatures and quiet conditions keep on coming. Overnight will be clear and mild, with lows dipping into the mid 50s. This is quite a bit warmer than recent nights.

A cold front will move through Wednesday, but it will still be warm. High temperatures will be nearly 10 degrees above average again, topping out in the mid to upper 70s.

The "cooler" air will settle in Thursday, but even then highs stay above average. Highs will still rise into the mid 70s.

A second cold front is expected by Friday. This will bring a chance for isolated showers and storms. However, at this point, the chances are low. It will however, usher in a bigger cool down. By the weekend highs are back into the 60s.
