Above average temperatures return for the weekend

Saturday

CARTERVILLE Ill. (WSIL) --The clouds have eroded more than expected, making for a great end to the work week. High temperatures topped out near average, in the upper 50s. Warmer weather is expected to make a return through the weekend.

Winds will turn out of the south this weekend, bringing back the above average temperatures. High temperatures will rise back into the low 60s Saturday, followed by upper 60s Sunday. It should be a pretty nice weekend to get outside. Get those outdoor chores wrapped up before the cooler air settles in.

A more active pattern will take shape again next week. Our next chance for showers will move in late Monday and into Tuesday. Behind this system a much colder air mass is expected to end the week. Soak in the warmth while it's here!
