CARTERVILLE, Ill. (WSIL) -- Winds continue today, however they won't be as strong as they were on Sunday. Rain won't be an issue this week until we hit the weekend.

This morning will be cloudy and the winds will calm a little from yesterday, at around 10 mph to start the day and will continue throughout the day. Temperatures will reach into the lower 70s with precipitation chances very low.

Monday evening will bring more of the same. Clouds will stick around as temps fall into the lower 60s by nightfall.

Tuesday will bring more winds to our area with gusts around 15 mph. The clouds will disperse and we will see the sun again. Temperatures will be slightly cooler though, topping out in the lower 60s.

The rest of the week we will see highs mainly in the 60s and 70s as we head closer to the weekend. Clouds will also move back in on Thursday and we could see some showers by Saturday.
