CARTERVILLE, Ill. (WSIL) -- We are drying out after a storm system swept through the area last night. We will have a stretch of a couple days where weather will be pretty nice before another system makes its way through the area later in the week.

This morning we will be waking up to temps in the upper 50s with partly cloudy conditions and winds at around 10 mph. As we move through the daytime, temperatures will climb into the lower 70s as highs and clouds start moving out. We should see sunny skies by the late afternoon and early evening.

Tonight, skies will be clear and we will dip back down to the lower 60s by 9 p.m. Winds will also be relatively calm.

Tuesday we will start out mostly clear with temps in the lower 50s and very calm winds. As we move through the daytime, temps will reach into the mid 70s and clouds will start moving in. Winds will be around 5 mph.

Wednesday will be much like Tuesday, however, there is a chance for some thunderstorms and rain later in the evening. This will stick around for the next couple of days.
