CARTERVILLE, Ill. (WSIL) -- We’ve had some light rain today but some areas saw a fairly nice day out there. A bit on the chilly side but not bad. Looking ahead, we are drying out for a bit until another system enters the region during the middle of the week.
This evening, temps will continue to drop and reach the lower 50s by the time you go to bed. We will still clouds and maybe some light rain out there, however, the winds will calm as we go into the night hours.
Monday morning, we are waking up with some chilly temperatures. You may see some upper 40s when you head out the door so bring a jacket with you. Winds will be relatively light though and the clouds will stick around.
During the day tomorrow, temps will climb into the lower 60s and winds will remain light. Also, it should be dry. The first dry day in more than a week.
On Tuesday, this will likely be the nicest day of the week. Temps will reach into the lower 70s, the sun will be shining and winds will be calm. This looks to be an absolute gorgeous day out there.
Then the rain chances are back...again. On Wednesday, you may see some morning showers on your commute to work. Temps again will reach the 70s but it won't be all that bad of a day out there.
On Thursday, we are forecasting some rain in the evening hours. We will continue to keep an eye on this and track this system in the days ahead.
Probably shouldn't say this with all the rain we've had lately, but the next weekend might be beautiful out there. Hopefully this stays the case as we continue throughout the week.
