...The Flood Warning continues for the following rivers in
Illinois...

Big Muddy River near Murphysboro affecting Jackson County.

Big Muddy River near Plumfield affecting Franklin and Williamson
Counties.

.The Big Muddy River continues to rise due to heavy rain last week
and over the weekend. The river will crest on Thursday before
starting a very slow fall.

For the Big Muddy River...including Plumfield, Murphysboro...Major
flooding is forecast.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

Be especially cautious at night when it is harder to recognize the
dangers of flooding.

Caution is urged when walking near riverbanks.

Motorists should not attempt to drive around barricades or drive
cars through flooded areas.

Turn around, don't drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood
deaths occur in vehicles.

forecast.

* WHERE...Big Muddy River near Plumfield.

* WHEN...Until further notice.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...
- At 8:30 PM CDT Tuesday the stage was 28.2 feet.
- Forecast...The river is expected to rise to a crest of 30.7
feet early Thursday morning.
- Flood stage is 20.0 feet.

CARTERVILLE, Ill. (WSIL) -- It's not too bad of a day out if you have any shopping plans today.

Sunday will treat us with mostly sunny conditions across the region with highs reaching into the lower 40s for many. Winds will be out of the south-southeast at 10 mph.

The evening will be clear with some clouds here-and-there passing through. Lows are forecasted to be around 30 degrees.

Monday will look a little different as clouds and winds will increase.

It will be overcast for much of the day with a small chance of showers in the evening hours. Highs will top out in the mid to upper 40s.
