December 16th Evening Weather with Meteorologist Jacie Brianne
CARTERVILLE Ill. (WSIL) -- It was a pretty soggy start to the week. A brief break from the rainfall will return overnight and through much of Tuesday. However, where clouds break up, patchy fog is likely through Tuesday morning.

Overall, Tuesday should be pretty nice. After the morning fog clears, mostly sunny skies are expected through the early afternoon. Temperatures will also be warm, topping out in the mid 50s.Â
Our next chance for rain will move in Tuesday evening and stick around into Wednesday. The heaviest rain is expected through the southern half of the viewing area, where additional totals will be near an inch. Much lighter amounts are expected north, many will receive well under a quarter of an inch.Â
Rain will clear late Wednesday, followed by dry weather through the rest of the week. Temperatures will drop back into the mid 40s by Thursday, with the upper 30s by Friday. Enjoy the rest of the warm weather!
