WSIL â€ The strongest winds will arrive just behind the last line of storms, around 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Â
The afternoon hours look dry and sunny, but winds will still be of concern with gusts still in the 40-50mph range. The highest wind gusts measured by our sensors so far today have been well over 50 miles per hour. These strong gusts will continue throughout the afternoon, and into the evening. Winds will tame into the evening but remain gusty at times.  Temperatures should fall Thursday afternoon and evening behind the cold front.Â
Check back in this evening. Chief Meteorologist Jim Rasor will have an update tonight.Â
