Tracking a rainy start to the workweek

WSIL(Carterville, Ill.)-- This morning, a lot of us are waking up to temperatures that are in the mid to upper 60s; some of us across the bootheel of Missouri are close to 70 degrees. Skies this morning are partly cloudy and skies will turn mostly cloudy late this morning.  

In addition to tracking increasing cloud cover, we will see hit or miss shower chances increase. Showers will be isolated through the late morning and early afternoon. We will get a break this evening in the shower and storm activity, However, overnight tonight scattered to widespread shower and thunderstorms are expected. However, no severe weather is expected. 

Showers and storms will linger through the morning commute for Tuesday, before dry time settles in for mid morning through the early afternoon. Off and on rain showers and storms will return for late tomorrow afternoon and evening. 

Hit and miss shower and storm chances will last through the rest of the workweek. Highs today and tomorrow will be in the low to mid 70s. We should see rhe upper 70s by the end of the workweek.
