Fire risk continues Wednesday, rain on the way

  • 0

CARTERVILLE (WSIL) -- Peaks of sunshine and warm temperatures made for a comfortable day but it is windy.

The dry conditions and wind will keep the risk for fires up throughout the evening and through Wednesday. Aside from the wind, the evening will be mild with overnight temperatures only dipping into the 50s.

Wednesday will bring more clouds but it will be another warm and windy day. Afternoon highs will climb back into the 60s with winds out of the south gusting near 35 miles per hour. Out door burning is not recommended.

The fire threat will diminish Thursday thanks to incoming rain. Meteorologist Jacie Brianne will let you know when to have the umbrella tonight on News 3.
