Illinois...

Big Muddy River near Plumfield and Murphysboro.

.Levels will continue to fall on the Big Muddy River, dropping
below flood stage near Plumfield Sunday, and near Murphysboro
Tuesday.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

Caution is urged when walking near riverbanks.

- At 7:30 PM CDT Wednesday the stage was 23.9 feet.
- Forecast...The river is expected to fall below flood stage
Sunday afternoon.
- Flood stage is 20.0 feet.

Goodbye storms, goodbye warmth

(WSIL) -- Would you trade yesterday's warmth for calmer weather? If so, you'll enjoy the way this weekend wraps up.

Showers have largely left this morning, leaving some low clouds lingering overhead. These will rapidly clear out as we get into the daylight hours.

Significant northerly flow behind last night's storms will keep us in the upper 50's today despite plentiful sunshine. Sunday's winds will be breezy, in the 15 to 20 mph range.

Calm conditions won't last forever! I'm tracking more rain slated for the midweek coming up this morning on News 3.
