Big Muddy River near Plumfield and Murphysboro.

.Levels will continue to fall on the Big Muddy River, dropping
below flood stage near Plumfield Sunday, and near Murphysboro
Tuesday.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

Caution is urged when walking near riverbanks.

- At 7:30 PM CDT Wednesday the stage was 23.9 feet.
- Forecast...The river is expected to fall below flood stage
Sunday afternoon.

(WSIL) -- A few showers are possible as warm air flows over the region the next couple of days but the key element of this forecast is how warm temperatures are expected to be by the weekend. South winds will be gusty through Thursday. More sunshine is expected late week into the weekend. Afternoon temperatures will likely rise higher than 85 by Saturday. I will have the latest forecast updates on News 3 WSIL.
