CARTERVILLE (WSIL) -- Storms continue to move through the region this afternoon and we have more storms around the corner.
Severe storms continue to push through our southern counties this afternoon with wind reports over 60 mph. Damage reports of trees down and power outages continue to filter in. Be sure to stay weather aware for the remainder of the evening.
Folks in southern Illinois seeing a much different story this afternoon with relatively quiet weather.
This evening the storms will continue to push through and out of the region by 4 or 5 PM followed by a few showers.
Overnight the weather will quiet down a bit leaving us with partly cloudy skies and low temperatures in the upper 40s and low 50s.
Monday will start as a mild day but the chance for showers and storms will return by the afternoon and evening. It will be another day that you want to stay weather aware.
The Storm Prediction Center has issued a slight risk for severe storms across southeastern Missouri, portions of southern Illinois and western Kentucky. The main hazards will be damaging winds, hail, heavy rain and lightning.
