...The Flood Warning continues for the following rivers in
Illinois...

Big Muddy River near Plumfield and near Murphysboro

.Moderate to major flooding continues along the Big Muddy River. At
Plumfield, the river is now forecast to crest in moderate flood
stage near 28.5 feet Friday morning. At Murphysboro, the river is
cresting currently cresting in major flood stage near 36.4 feet.

For the Big Muddy River...including Plumfield, Murphysboro...
Moderate to Major flooding is forecast.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

Turn around, don't drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood
deaths occur in vehicles.

Caution is urged when walking near riverbanks.

- At 10:30 AM CDT Wednesday the stage was 28.2 feet.
- Forecast...The river is expected to rise to a crest of 28.5
feet Friday morning.
- Flood stage is 20.0 feet.
- Flood History...This crest compares to a previous crest of
28.6 feet on 05/02/2017.

Brick and Mortar: El Rancherito Mexican Restaurant

Mt. Vernon (WSIL) -- One of the first Mexican restaurants in Mt. Vernon is still serving the community after 25 years in business.

Owner Jose Jacinto opened in 1995. He now operates the business with his children.

Jose's daughter, Rosa Jacinto says they still offer all the original menu items but the portions have gotten bigger. She says if you can't decide on one meal, then come on Sundays to try a little bit of everything on the buffet.

On top of a wide variety of authentic Mexican food, the restaurant also serves it's made from scratch Margaritas.
