(WSIL) -- Health departments across southern Illinois are reporting 38 new cases of COVID-19 on Saturday, April 17, 2021.
Franklin County:
- Females: Three in their 40's and three in their 60's
- Males: One in their 40's and one in their 60's
To date, there have been a total of 4,447 laboratory confirmed positives in Franklin county of COVID-19, including 63 deaths. Of those positive cases, 4,227 have recovered in Franklin county.
Gallatin County:
- Female: 1 in their 50’s
Gallatin County has a total of 498 lab-confirmed positives of COVID-19, including 3 deaths.
Jackson County:
- 5 new cases
- Gender and ages not given
Health officials are currently monitoring 42 active cases. Jackson County has had 4,902 cases to date, with 72 related deaths. Of those cases, 4,788 individuals released from isolation, including 5 Saturday.
Saline County:
- Female: 1 in their teens, 1 in their 20’s, 1 in their 30’s, 1 in their 50’s, 1 in their 60’s, 2 in
- Male: 1 in their 30’s, 1 in their 50’s, 1 in their 60’s
To date, Saline County has had a total of 2,654 lab confirmed positives, including 53 deaths.
Williamson County:
- Females: Two teenagers and one in their 30's
- Males: One toddler, one tween, one teenager, two in their 40's, three in their 50's, one in their 60's, one in their 70's and one in their 80's
To date, there have been a total of 7,454 laboratory confirmed positives in Williamson county of COVID-19, including 120 deaths. Of those positive 6,966 have recovered in Williamson county.
Illinois Department of Public Health:
The Illinois Department of Public Health reported 3,194 new confirmed and probable cases of coronavirus disease Saturday, including 23 additional deaths.
Currently, IDPH is reporting a total of 1,299,575 cases, including 21,653 deaths across the state.
 A total of 7,939,304 vaccines have been administered.
