Big Muddy River near Plumfield and Murphysboro.

.Levels on the Big Muddy River will continue to drop, falling below
flood stage at Plumfield Sunday, and at Murphysboro Monday.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

Caution is urged when walking near riverbanks.

Be especially cautious at night when it is harder to recognize the
dangers of flooding.

- Forecast...The river is expected to fall below flood stage
late Sunday evening and continue falling to 19.1 feet Monday,

3rd COVID-19 case reported in Perry County

PERRY COUNTY, Ill. (WSIL) -- The Perry County, Illinois Health Department has reported its third confirmed case of COVID-19.

The health department says a woman in her 20s is in quarantine and working with health officials.

According to the department, 125 Perry County residents have tested negative for the coronavirus.
