UNION CO. (WSIL) -- Local restaurants are abruptly adjusting to Sunday's ordered shutdown of dining rooms.
"It's been very slow. We're probably going to have to ramp up our social media a little to remind people that we're here and they can get their coffee drinks," says Kiki's Coffeehouse owner Kathy Bryan.
Kiki's Coffee Shop is currently offering carry-out and curbside services.
"Maybe if an older person wants a drink and they don't want to be even in that level of possibility of catching something, we can take to them at their car," she said.
Pizza Villa employee Josh Belford says business has been steady. They are providing curbside and deliveries.
"Basically you can just call us when you get here when you place your order and when you get here we can bring it out to you," he said.
Tuesday is Michael Sinisi's grand opening for his restaurant Sinisi's. While he's disappointed he can only do carry-out and curbside, the community has been supportive.
"People want to sit down here and we tell them we can't till further notice. who knows? Maybe another month of this coronavirus. Two months. But people are excited here in the end who couldn't wait for us to open," he said.
While these restaurants are figuring out ways to serve customers, owners say do not hesitate getting your meal.
"You know at this time, remember we're still here even though you won't get that aspect of our businesses right now. We're still here and come out, get what you need, and take it on home," said Bryan.
Kathy Bryan says she's deciding on having a coffee delivery option in two weeks.聽
