SALINE COUNTY (WSIL) -- Police are investigating break-ins at two schools in Saline County.
Eldorado football head coach Joe Clark says he was just making his regular rounds Thursday morning, when he noticed several items scattered about.
"Saw some things scattered, some extension cords, some random items down towards the baseball fields," said Clark. "Didn't take long to figure out that somebody had been messing around up here."
Clark said the school notified the authorities and reviewed their security cameras. An individual can be seen entering and exiting the concession windows. Superintendent Ryan Hobbs said the estimated loss is around $2,000.
"They didn't get anything major of value," said Hobbs. "A lot of little things, sports jerseys, tried to get into our medicine kit, an old stereo -- a lot of small items."
Eldorado Police chief Shannon Deuel said they feel confident their investigation will lead to an arrest with felony charges.
"We have had a few people reach out to us as to who they think it is, my officers are working on it, and, anything else we can get from the public to truly identify this subject we'd appreciate any help we can get," said Deuel.
Chief Deuel added that several items taken have no value except to the school, and he questions the subject's motive.
"Honestly makes no sense to me," he said. "I guess they just wanted to break into something."
Coach Clark said with football out of season, they have time to replace and repair their losses.
"We've got time, we'll figure it out," said Clark.
