Paducah Fall Yoga in the Park

PADUCAH, KY (WSIL) -- Fall is here and there are plenty of activities to keep you and the family outdoors and moving during the season.

FIT AND ACTIVE:

  • - This FREE Fun Run is for runners and walkers of all ages and skill levels. For the next event, the fun run will start at the Greenway Trail entrance in Noble Park and head along the floodwall levee toward Cairo Road. It will cross Cairo Road and turn around at the underpass that includes the beautiful #BeKindPaducah mural. The total distance is 2.3 miles. Advanced registration is not required. There will be drawings for prizes and free snacks after the run. The next event is Wednesday, October 2 at 5:30 p.m. On-site registration begins at 5 p.m. at Shelter 19 next to the skatepark.
  • Yoga in the Park-Join Paducah Parks & Recreation in Noble Park for a free yoga series on Saturdays with instructor Sierra Irwin. Participants must be at least 14 years of age. Bring your own yoga mat. There is no pre-registration required. Register on site for the classes at Shelter 4 in Noble Park. Shelter 4 on is on the east side of Lake Montgomery between the pickleball courts and the Boundless playground. Upcoming dates: September 28, October 5th, October 19th and October 26th all at 2 p.m.

BASKETBALL AND VOLLEYBALL:

  • - This is a non-competitive league for children ages 3 through 5 who are not yet enrolled in kindergarten. The league focuses on teaching the basics of basketball. Cost is $30 (tax included). The registration deadline is October 31 with the league beginning mid-November.
  • - This is a four-session program for children ages 4 though 8. The program will take place November 5, 12, 19, and 23. Cost is $30 (tax included). The registration deadline is October 24.

TENNIS AND PICKLEBALL:

  • - These clinics are four per month for youth tennis players of all abilities.
  • - These clinics are four per month for adult tennis players of all abilities.
  • - Please pre-register for these fun, FREE cardio tennis events. The next ones are September 28 and October 5 at 9 a.m.
  • - Please pre-register for this fun, FREE evening on October 4 from 7 until 9.
  • -This tournament at Noble Park's Pickleball Courts begins Saturday, September 28 and runs through Sunday, September 29. Men's & Women's Doubles will be on Saturday with Mixed Doubles on Sunday. Registration has closed for the tournament, but come out to Noble Park to support pickleball!

Other special events:

  • - The next FREE event will beOctober 19. Registration is required and opens 10 days prior to each event. Participants can register for a limited supply of kayaks or register to bring their own so that adequate transportation can be provided. The kayak adventure will take off from Clarks River Landing with paddlers enjoying the Clarks River and Tennessee River and ending at the foot of Broadway.
