BENTON (WSIL) -- The city of Benton wants to make it easier for residents to give feedback about the town, with a suggestion box.
Two weeks ago, city officials placed suggestion boxes at the library, city hall lobby, and Buzz Coffee Shop.
The mission is to let citizens write their ideas and opinions freely, with the option of staying anonymous.
Community Relations Director, Rachel Gartner says she's hoping for an overflow of suggestions to make the city better.
"The goal was to, kind of think old school with it, and what was a way that we could get our residents to engage with us, whether it was a great idea, or a concern, or just simply a suggestion," she said.
Gartner says the city will read the suggestions every two weeks and before council meetings.
