WEST FRANKFORT, Ill. (WSIL) -- A boil water order was issued for some residents in West Frankfort on May 27.
The West Frankfort Mayor's Office said the order is for customers on Lincoln Street East From Lawrence Street to 9th Street.
The order is in effect until further notice.
The CDC recommends bringing water to a full rolling boil for one minute, or three minutes at elevations above 6,500 feet. Then allow the water to cool before using it.
When washing hands with tap water during a boil water order, it's recommended to use soap and water, then using alcohol-based hand sanitizer and let them air dry.
