Highway back open after gas leak in western Kentucky

CALLOWAY COUNTY, Ky. (WSIL) -- Officials with the Kentucky Transportation Cabinet - District 1 say KY 2547 in Calloway County is back open to drivers. They say the impacted section of roadway is now clear.

ORIGINAL STORY

CALLOWAY COUNTY, Ky. (WSIL) --A roadway was blocked on Tuesday afternoon in Calloway County due to a gas leak.

The Kentucky Transportation Cabinet - District 1 informed the public at 2:15 p.m. on February 4, about the road closure. 

County officials said the closure is along KY 2547 from the 4.1 mile marker to the 4.9 mile marker. This is between U.S. 641 and Tom Taylor Trail, south of Murray.

Officials said the roadway will be closed for roughly 2-3 hours. Motorists are informed to seek another route around the area.
