Eagle tours are available in early February at Crab Orchard National Wildlife Refuge

MARION, Ill. (WSIL) -- If you are looking to spot some eagles, you are in luck. Eagle tours will be available for the public in early February at the .

The Friends of Crab Orchard Refuge are inviting the public out to join them on some Eagle Tours taking place on the first weekend of February.

Vans will be provided for the two-hour tours with two stops scheduled with minimal walking.

Toddlers and children are needing to be in car seats and are not provided, the group states. Spotting scopes and binoculars will be available, or you may bring your own.

The group urges everyone to be dressed for the expected weather conditions for those particular days.

You may call for reservations for the Eagle Tours at 618-997-3344 Ext. 1.

Dates and times for the tours are on February 1 and 2, 2025, at 8 a.m., 11 a.m. and 2 p.m.

The location is Crab Orchard Visitors Center at 6987 Headquarters Road, Marion, Illinois 62959.
